until now so maybe the rest of ya'll could get a little fishing in with
decent weather. I'm fixin' to head to the lake, so expect the wind to
start picking up and maybe a thunderstorm or two before dark

JWhite you are not related to Pstone are you? He seems to draw some good weather when he heads to the water.

title.

Jeff, you posted that warning two hours after I launched my boat in a heavy fog. I thought I knew where I was going, so I fired up the egg beater and flew off. Depth perception sucks in the fog. I beached the boat in a wad of cypress trees about 20 min. from the landing. Looked like a good place to fish, so I wiped all the spider webs off my face and had a great day fishing till about 4:00pm. Thunderstorm came up and chased me all way back to the landing. It held off till I got loaded. It was one of them frog drowning downpours. Looks like we gonna have rain all week down here.
Sorry Mr. John :o for the weather I mean.
Yep fog is something. I've been easing across the lake several times
by gps and my internal compass keeps telling me to go one direction
while the gps says something else. Looking back at the plot trail it
looks like a zig-zag. Dang gps is always right though.
I got into the mother load of small white bass, yellow bass, and hybrids.
First brush I stopped on, put out 4 rods, double hook minnows, and
bang - had 8 fish on. Did that a couple more times and finally picked up
and moved. Finally got a small meals worth off a logpile in 30' after
fighting off a school of lil' butterbean sized black crappies...
I don't know why the fish stay so deep on that lake, water 69-70 deg.
and I thought sure some would be shallow, but couldn't draw a fish in
less than 20'
