Default How We Spent our Summer Vacation

We filled in the pool! No more pump replacements, liner repairs/replacement, giant electric bills or hundreds of dollars in chemicals every year. We figured if we were gonna spend money on something full of water, it should be at Ky Lake. As soon as the dirt settles some, it's time for grass and shrubs and a patio cover.

Dadgum.. someone's been working harder than me! I hear a swimming pool can be a BIG budget buster. Sure can't tell one was there now.

Ms Vonna is all hands accounted for around your house??? You wasn't mad at anyone around there was you? Looks like you have done a lot of dirt hauling and leveling. I know you'll be much happier with a big patio when it's all over. Have fun and good fishing. Ferdi aka Fred

wow, me and my wife thought we were the only ones who would do something like that, 2000 for a liner, new pump 1500, installation cost who knows. then we figured a few dumptrucks full of dirt and 15 yards of concrete was a lot cheaper. way to go

Two of the happiest days are when you get your first pool and when you get rid of it!!

Well I must be one of the lucky ones. We have a 24' above ground pool for about 5 years now and it's easy to maintain. Alot less time than my yard and garden. We put EZ-Pool in every week and shock it every other week and thats about it. Water stays pretty and clear. Hardest part is opening it up in the spring and closeing it down in the fall. My grandkids would get real mad if we got rid of it.

I totally agree with ya'll. I have a 24X52 above ground pool and I will give it away to the first person that comes by. I paid a little over $2000 but if you take it I will let you have it for FREE! I will never have another pool.

We have a 15x30 above ground pool, and love it.Very easy to take care of. We have a automatic pool cleaner I through in the pool about once a week and I check the chemicals about twice a week, thats it.
