    Default Truck Tire ?

Well, this is a new issue for me. I ain't bought tires in a long time. I usually trade vehicles afore the tires go bad, but I like this Tacoma and decided to keep it for a while. I am unemployed. ha

Tires ain't cheap! I want a good all terrain tire. The Goodrich that came on the truck did pretty good. New set bout 600-700 bills.

Anybody got any avoid lists? I don't know crap about tires.

    Thanks,

    Tom

Doggone Mr. Tom that sounds high But then I ain't bought none
since last summer, maybe they're going up like everthing else.

I shopped around and finally found some for about a $100 mounted,
and thems big ole 10 plys on my truck. Think they're Uniroyals.
I've had good luck out of them, Goodyears, and B.F. Goodrichs in the past.
Had several sets of Summits too - they lasted good but was not very round -
hard to keep balanced. Last set, when I got rid of them and put Goodyears
on it, felt like new truck!

Have bought two sets of tires at Wal-Mart. One for my truck and one for my wife's Suburban. They are Liberators by Uniroyal. I would characterize them as agressive street tread tires. Not quite as agressive as a BFG all terrain. I'v e also had other sets of Uniroyals. Not real flashy. Just a plain old inexpensive tire that lasts pretty well.
Was glad to hear about your favorable doctors report the other day!

Michelin LTX M/S. Not really for off road, but a great ride and they last forever. Kinda pricy though.
Do gooder since April 26, 2009!

Depending on what size and type you want, try this site. I bought tires for my Jeep off there. CHEAP. They are confiscated property. You have to go get them however so pay attention to where they are. Poke around on the site a bit. LOTS of stuff.

And if you don't wanna go that route, I bought my Wrangler Radials from Wal Mart for $54 each.

I ain't too good at auction bidding. I tend to always pay more that it is worth. I guess I just get caught up in the moment.:o

Cooper Tires are pretty good, relatively cheap and lasy longer than the Goodyear Wranglers. Plus they are made in Findlay, Ohio not China or Mexico.
Last fall cost me about $450 mounted and balanced for 245/70/R16
