OIL COMPANIES in the US are making MORE MONEY than they EVER HAVE in the HISTORY of OIL...HUmmmmmmmmmmmmm

But their profit margins are not that high -- 10% in the case of Exxon:

so that's close too 100 billion in profits the last 3 years on revenue close to a TRILLION DOLLARS (over the last 3 years)...They have taken in near 900 BILLION in the last 3 years. How much is enough? Oh and there PROFITS are RECORDS...Not a record in the last 10 years or 50 years but in the HISTORY OF AMERICA. Somethings wrong with this picture.

OK so then how is it that different companies with different supplies (because the DEMAND WILL ALWAYS BE THERE) charge the same...That's called price fixing.

There is ONE supply curve and ONE demand curve. Each oil company does not have its own.

the feds regulate them closer than this crap.

The feds cause much of the problem with high gas taxes.

So we know demand is HIGH and CONSTANT for gas. We all know that. We know supplies are CONSTANT too.

Supply and demand is not constant. Both curves can shift and thereby increase or decrease the price of oil.

REGULATE THE LOWEST GRADE to $1 a gallon.

Why not regulate the price to $0.25 per gallon? Or even $0.10 per gallon?

remeber when gas oil hit 50 bucks a barrel and it went up to 3.00 a gallon, now its over 100 a barrel and its still over 3.00 gallon. I am with you sac, if I didnt spend so much on gas I could spend on other things that we have had to cut out of our budget, and God forbid have something left to invest

LOL..I can promise you the stores in High Crime areas of Jackson Mississippi EVERYTHING is cheaper. The GOOD SIDE of town the prices are higher so that theory is shot down. Even the gas is higher on the BETTER SIDE of town...I LIVE IT...I don't write about it from some office in El Paso.

I think at $1 a gal the profits will be there. They c an make as much profit as they want on the HIGHER GRADES. I said REGULATE THE LOWEST GRADE. JUST ONE GRADE. i don't think that Exxon, a company who can just screw EVERYONE but themselves and stockholders and TAXBREAKS....We hadn't even talked about how the MOST PROFITABLE COMPANY IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA has to have tax breaks for R&D!!! R&D on what? How to fix the price of gas?

I agree. Capitalsim is great BUT not at the expense of the ENTIRE COUNTRY. We arn't talking about something a few people use here. We are talking about something that affects EVERY ONE OF US.

I have investments in the oil industry and the drug industry. I think they call it Preparation H....This ought protect my tail fairly well........
