Default She will steal your heart!!

My brother and sis-in-law found her in the pound about a week before she was to be euthanized. She evaded capture for a long time before she was caught....she's intelligent, minds well, loves everyone she meets, will play for hours, and is already house broken. The vet in the pound said she had been abused, and must have escaped her previous owner. I'm not normally a great fan of lapdogs, but she's definitely the exception....she will tackle any dog that even gets close to her new family. You gotta love her protective nature, but I think she will get over it when she learns she's found a good home.

My boy will retreive as long as there is something to go after - my problem is he wants to get the decoys or anything else that shows up in the water that he sees - if I take him with me on the boat he wants to jump out every time I throw my bait out if its a minnow or jig - when I catch a fish he thinks it is his toy and wants it to chew on - he is good ole dog and pretty much laid back until he gets around any type of action and he wants to be in the middle of it

    TOO CUTE!

I love dogs, but I just don't have the time to take the best care I can of one, and spend the time necessary to raise one properly...so it is not fair for me to own one.....fortunately for me and the potential dog I realize that instead of those sorry owners that do not realize it.
I won't be at work........I'm feelin' crappie today!

Your a good man GABoy. Crap-king my dog use to be the same way but she grew out of it. Now when I take her fishing she watches for a little while and then she crawls up under the console and crashes. Reckon I don't catch 'em fast enough for her. She does get worked up when I fish a buzz bait for green carp though. And she likes to get into other peoples boats like the wildlife officer or the old man I gave some fish to the other day. They both wanted to take her with them. But when its bird time she's all business. Seen her and her mama swim so far after a cripple goose that we had to run them down in the boat cause we didn't think they'd make it back. She used to try to fetch decoys and stuff in the water too but they're used to be a pond behind my old house and I put decoys out in it and taught her to ignore them after time. Labs are just excitement packed. She still does some dumb stuff sometimes. She ain't no polished trained dog and she ain't no show dog but she's a pretty good 'un. But then again I like a dog that acts like a dog and has some personality. Adds to the enjoyment!
Ya ain't holdin' your mouth right.

    Default My Katie Girl

This is my Katie Girl. Someone told me once you only get one REALLY GOOD bird dog in your life. This is mine. She is the best pheasant and quail dog I have ever seen. I have hunted over many dogs in my life and consider myself very lucky to own this one. She has gotten me more than my share of invitaions to hunt place I would not have without her. She is 1 of a kind.

    Default Scrap

I have a black and a choc lab for duck hunting. I have an English Pointer out of the Elhew line for Quail and Pheasants. I owned and English Setter once and still have fond memories of her. That's a good looking English Setter you got there Scrap
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
