It doesn't answer your question but have you read the popcorn thread in the "cooking crappie" section yet?
I vote for forgetting the microwave stuff and doing it the more traditional ways.
I haven't bought any in many many years but want to get some for my wife. What is the best microwave corn nowday? Thanks

Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.Ranger R61 LIKED above post

We like the Nature's Promise brand from Food Lion for healthy reasons. But as far as taste nothing beats real butter melted and poured over any brand of popcorn.

So to keep away from the salt and butter we have bought Orville Redenbackers “natural” corn. However we really like Orville’s Movie Theater butter corn. Member (rogoguio) has a thread on how he makes it located here. https://www.crappie.com/crappie/cook...eater-popcorn/. Lots of times we get a BIG bag at Rural King for about $3.00 it lasts a good while and is tasty. Can ya tell we like popcorn yet?
Have fun deciding Bill.
