    Default Having fun today. Not

Drinking beer and directing dump trucks. Filling in an 18x36 in ground pool in my back yard.
Poor thing is beyond fixing, got an estimate starting price of 60K to make it right. Nope, bring on the dirt!
2 loads in, guestimated 28 more to go. Even that ain’t cheap. Got 3 10 yard dumps running. Dang a pool, money sucking outfits anyway.

How come it cost's more to repair than build a new one

My friend in Jacksonville recently had the same issue. He saved a small section and made a turtle pond.

Basically it was the heavy equipment labor needed to dig all the old stuff out plus the new install.

Our ground here is not friendly to any kind of construction. Shifts, moves constantly. A lot! Concrete pool walls don’t stand a chance. Surprised it lasted long as it did. Think it was put in late 80’s. Been inop since before we moved in 4 years ago though.

It is much better to know someone with a pool than the have one yourself.
