I can always listen to “The Boss” Bruce Springsteen. There are many great artist out there now Jason Isbell, American Aquarium, Turnpike Troubadours, etc… list is endless. Great topic of discussion!!

Maybe in Tennessee, but not here. Machinist getting $35-$45 an hour, $200/day per diem, etc. The young kids here are all over this, most making over $100,000/year. My grandson one of them. Some others are getting day rates at $600-$700. Unbelievable the activity. The skilled trades are not a dying breed here. This area needs skilled trade people.

Classic rock myself. Most of those folks in country music are all hats and no horses. Believe me, I've ridden a fence line growing up in west Texas many years and did it without a starched hat.

There are lots of songs that relate to life events for Lil Darlin and I. For example Alan Jackson’s “ Where were you when the world stopped turning?” I see it like it was yesterday…I was on leav home painting my mothers front porch. Stopped for a few to get the lawn mower from the shop and heard the events of 9-11 unfold on the radio

Turnpike Troubadours I know and love, of those mentioned. Heard they are back touring again, hope they release some new stuff!

That interested me hearing about the jobs in your area. So had to look at your profile, Carencro? Years ago I went to a couple bmw bike rallies there, put on by the swamp scooters.
Best rallies I ever went to, especially the food! Jobs, I suppose I ought to look around. With my age and health issues, not sure if anybody would want me. But where I’m at is pretty wage stagnant - blue cross blue shield keeps going up and wipes out any chance of a meaningful raise.
But I’m an only child and both parents are getting in rapidly increasing need of my attention. So relocating seems out of the question as well.

Country music - it left Nashville, most of what I like now is folks that are
for most part bypassing the industry and self produced or small labels. A lot of red dirt, TX-OK music in my list.
