Default Craziest weather I've ever witnessed!

In the northeast we expect cold temperatures in the range of between the teens and 30's as well as a fair bit of snow measuring up to 3' of accumulated snow. But this year is a whole different story with temps near 50 one day and wind chills of 20 degrees the next. The heavy rains and and warm temps have resulted in many ice free waters.

My pond was down 5' and is now within 2' of being full. All the rainfall in Dec. and Jan. did the trick. Of course the other extremes have been the incredible rain storms washing out southern Calif. that's been in a severe draught for years (their reservoirs are still super low) and the devastating tornadoes in the south.

On top of that, the wildlife has been doing some weird things:
a deer coming too close to the house - two days in a row; a squirrel and crows in the bird feeders, and a massive number of small birds on my lawn at one time after a heavy rain.

I'm not complaining - just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
