At least twins so you can use the docking feature and move the boat to and from the dock with a joy stick. Pretty impressive technology. The fact that the powerhead stays still and the lower unit turns for directional control.

Imagine what ramp parking lots are going to look like with all those chargers sitting there, for the people camping on the water for a weekend. Or run out of juice while enjoying water sports, future new business on the water charging, instead of just a gas can a generator and charger on board a boat to service stranded boaters..

Zero direct emissions, that is a California term. California claims zero carbon on the electricity they use that comes from other states. This is technically true if you follow the term "direct". They have no direct impact on their local environment, but have a heavy impact one the states they get their electricity from. Depending on who you talk to California imports 25% to 40% of their electricity. Importing electricity is great for your local carbon footprint, but is bad for the exporter.

That would be just like the electric car rescue services that are delivered by a diesel truck with a diesel generator to recharge them.

If they are so anti petroleum, why do they have rubber tires and drive on paved roads (all petroleum based) ???

Not too mention the environmental impact to mine the materials to make the batteries. Then there is disposal, or rather lack there-of. This is a get rich scheme for politicians, and other special interests. I ain't buying it. I don't even own battery powered tools.
