    Default REALLY SAD !

this flyer was on our door the other day
the people who posted it likely don't know what is the deal
a quick read and it became clear to me
that spot at 6 45 am with a small dog not on a leash
well to say the least it was over with fairly quickly is my bet
city coyotes regularly attack and consume small domestic animals
and small dogs are high on the list
dont walk small dogs in the low light near known coyote spots
they are brave and brazen in town and will snatch your pup in a quick second
here are 2 we saw that VERY same day a few miles away at another park
2 pm and the dog on the left was as big a coyote as I have ever seen
just a quick fyi , nothing makes me sadder than losing a part of the family in such a manner

    Very sad indeed.

Occasionally we have to deal with small packs of coyotes where I live and they are very dangerous to say to the least when they are packed up. Probably could not DEAL with the city ones the same way we do in the country as there are probably restrictions..........

City coyotes are people indoctrinated, they have far less fear and they are really sly critters .
They live in downtown Ft.Worth and roam the parks in all the areas of town around here.
Small dogs and cats are often the target ,domestic animals put up less of a fight .
We see them often and unlike country coyotes , they rarely run away like they are on fire as they do in the country.
But a word of caution to all ,they live amongst us all over the country and are family pet oriented in many cases.
Keep your eye close on your smaller dogs at all times when you hit the local parks and urban areas .

Good advice, Ketch, and as far as an adaptable species they had a number of reports from Chicago of all places a couple of years back about a small pack that were virtually uncatchable. Not a lot of strays in those neighborhoods…
