City feller and hog

A city feller had never seen a farm and had always wanted to, so he made arrangements to visit one on vacation When he arrived the farmer was showing him his operation and all the animals. The feller saw a hog with a peg leg and asked about it.
Farmer: Let me tell you about that hog. Once I was mowing the pasture and left the tractor running while I got off to make an adjustment. Somehow it jumped into gear and I’d have been cut to pieces if that hog hadn’t jumped into me and knocked me clear!
Feller: So the mower cut his leg off?
Farmer: No, he got out of the way too. Another time the barn caught fire and I was trapped inside cause the door got stuck. That hog kept running into the door till he’d broken it free and I could get out.
Feller: So his leg got burned in the fire?
Farmer: No, he wasn’t harmed.
Feller: So how come he has a wooden leg?
Farmer: I just told you he’s saved my life twice! That’s a mighty special hog! You don’t eat a hog like that all at one time!
