Found this gem at the local walking track. Son In Law works for the city. I have been teasing him all afternoon about this. I understand the gate with no fence. But the padlock is just too much. Up until now it has been a saw horse style barricade across the trail. Now they have given me something to laugh about

The gate looks to have been hurriedly installed. Someone must have been spotted having some fun and it needed to be dealt with immediately. We pay taxes to ensure we have people willing to prevent us from getting out of hand. I guarantee you there are people who will not go around the gate and will simply turn back.
Maybe they will bite this one……

The certainly are. My understanding someone fell because of tree roots pushing up under the asphalt causing it to be uneven. It has been that way for the last 8 years only now it's a problem

That’s hilarious! Especially knowing some will turn back instead of walking around it.

I took this one myself back back in the early 90’s. Another officer and myself were sent to Los Angelos to extradite a parole violator back to Texas. I always took a camera in case we had a little free time on the trips to sight see. We were walking across the parking lot at LAX airport and an overpass was under construction. I just happened to look up and saw this. My camera was in my carry on bag and had to get a pic.

Very much so. I always thought it to be understood that it was on you if you got hurt. Now all the attorneys promise big money if you get hurt.

I am going to say this but I risk great peril in doing so. I had taken the dog and went to the track ahead of my wife. She saw the sign and turned around. If I stop posting someone send the authorities inform them to expect foul play
