I’ve learned that kind of lessons many times over the years. Now I keep a hoodie’ light jacket’ and a light set of rain gear in the boat year round. About 1 October I add my heavy rain gear, gloves, knit cap, spare wool socks and hand warmer packs. It’s also when I change to my winter prop and black front and back seats. I use light grey seats in summer as they are a lot cooler. Doing it all at one time let’s me not have to remember each trip and don’t get caught if unexpected cold snap comes early.
It’s hard to stumble when you’re on your knees.
