a personal trait that someone in your past(maybe even the present ~eg. Parent/Guardian/child/co-worker/fishing bud etc.) easily displayed, who/what would it be? OK, me 1st...Native Marylander, under the influence of Chesapeake Bay's bounty"{Fish, oysters, BLUE CRAB!} since childhood. My love(and most Marylanders) especially for Crab cakes w/Old Bay, has spawned many techniques from hand-lining(chicken on-a-string), crab traps, crab rings, crab pots, trot-lining. Catch/cook/clean/eat/drink beer/repeat has been the mantra infinitum(and still is). Most non-Marylanders I've met contend that eating steamed Blue crabs is just too messy. Offer them a Maryland crab cake however, and your name is added to their will! That is exactly why this post was created! As much as EVERYBODY enjoys Md. style crab cakes, I don't have the best capability(willpower/restraint) to sit down/pick/stockpile the scrumptious, lump backfin/other meat to be used for these "balls o' GOLD"! $$$ Financing/down payment is now required to buy the MD. Jumbo, lump backfin-meat!
Alrighty then, enough of the backdrop details...my shout out goes to my Mom & Dad(especially) in their having the willpower, willingness AND Patience to hand-pick, save and prepare my harvest for all family/guests to ENJOY!

Great post. For me, it would be my fathers patience and love for flying. He made sure I learned to fly. An incredible gift to give a young man in his early 20s.
