Ketchen- The Nissan Titan XD has good payload and towing numbers, until you compare the price to a 3/4 ton. They where the first I priced. We've had multiple Nissans, good luck with all of them.

I have been looking for the past 2 months for new vehicle. First no one has any of the vehicles that I am interested in on the lot. Here in TN they sell within 24 hours of getting on the lot. Deals...there ain't no deals here unless it is on sedans that are not selling well. Wait......well yeah you could wait...but how long? No one can say when this chip shortage will get caught up....but it is not going to be soon. I have now extended my search out to a 250 mile radius and the main vehicle I have been wanting I have been priced out of the market...meaning I do not want to pay a 5 grand premium over the MSRP....not saying I would never do that but I sure don't want to. I check the sites each and every day....while I may not want to pay the asking price, others do and they are not on the lot long. I am now looking at a vehicle that will suit me but it certainly is not my first choice.

    Regards

The chip shortage has definitely jammed up the automotive market. When I researched it. The chip manufacturers picked up other business when the auto market slowed down. Now they are not willing to go back to the automotive market as they were. A small part of it is do to raw materials shortages.

CHIP SHORTAGE? Didn't realize trucks had that much in common. Must be dealer collusion. Seems to be no shortage of dealer SHAFTS.

Yep !! Vehicles are no longer just plugs and fuses. Now that every vehicle has all the latest bells & whistles electronics, computer chips are the heart of all those luxuries. Same thing they did to our landline phones ... put a computer in them.

Engine control computer. Every aspect of the engine is monitored and controlled by that computer.
