This is pure politics. By Feb Obama had done absolutely NOTHING to even come close to earning the NPP. To date he's STILL not done ANYTHING worthwhile and honorable.

Some of the reasons that were given were, he talks to leaders instead of threatening them, He is starting talks with world leaders that were branded axis of evil. World tensions have been relaxed since he took office. He is for climate change. He started talks with Russia to reduce long range nuke missels. Oh, and most important he is the exact opposite of George W. Bush. That was in the article that I read. A lot of it is on the actions of President Obama and his campaign promises of what he stands for. Just to name a few. EB

At least the rest of the world is willing to give the man a chance, to prove what he can do. I don't think if he would end all the problems in the world, most on here, still wouldn't show him any respect.
The States are still divided but it isn't Red States and Blues States anymore, It is the Union and Confederate States again. That is what your friends have done for our country. Your right, nothing worthwhile or honorable about that.

This just proves that awards such as this mean nothing.I always thought that the NPP was an award for what you HAVE DONE not what you MIGHT DO. What is next. Are we going to induct current professional athletes into their respective halls of fame because of what they MIGHT do during their careers. This is so ridiculous!!
