Sorry to hear about your loss, however it sounds like you enjoyed the time you did have together.

As for conversation in my boat. Not much, the dogs are gone, the kids are gone and the wife dont like to go. If I talk its to the fish. I decided to install a radio this winter so I can at least listen to talk radio or the ball game while on the lake.

I must say I think you are very lucky to have had such a good friend. I am sorry you lost him.

I have a great fishing buddy that doesn't always agree with me (since I am married, I am used to that). Isn't disagreeing part of the fun?

BHO seems to do a very good job of lying just about every time he opens his mouth but I can point out one time he didn't tell a lie.

I'm interested in what others talk about when fishing. I personally talk politics more than any other subject.



Those who don't educate themselves enough to understand the politcal scene can't handle the subject, thus choose to ignore it.



What's the topic in your boat??

How does one truly educate themselves on politics? The newspaper, cable news networks, other lay peoples opinions?

Even in college we just got the opinion of the left wing professor.



With the political science degree and a masters in public health - I understand politics exactly - They all lie to better themselves, they don't care about the rest of us, there is no such thing as a democracy anymore and me talking about it is not going to do any good.
I do voice my objections but that is not going to anybody anywhere. Look at the healthcare debate - the vast majority of Americans don't want this thing to pass but it is still on the table.

What do we talk about? How bad the kids act, the weather, why are we not catching more fish, and dang it's hot!

I was over at my neighbors house helping him finish up his new shed/garage. Another neighbor stopped by and the conversation turned to fishing. I got to meet another neighbor and found out about a new fishing spot. Not even in hte boat and were talking fishing.

I don't get to fish much at certain times of the year so When someone goes with me, We are usually talking about how to figure out where the crappie are. CF
