Ann is going to the Dulcimer society event in Port Allen on March 8th. Yours truly is staying home. She has been practicing with her hammer dulcimer, lap dulcimer, and fiddle to take to the event. Glad she's not hauling the grand piano. She'll spend the night there with her friend.

Ernie is howling while she practices.

All she needs now is a dobro and a banjo

She stays busy that's for sure, as myself. Don't care for chicks who sit around the house watching the television all day. We've been married for decades - can't recall how long at the moment, will have to look it up. We don't keep track of such things.

The ice maker I bought - don't care for the thermocouple in it for regulating when the ice is done. I'll replace that here shortly. Not going to bother the manufacture's people about their design deficiency.

Contacted a guy I know to give a talk to our IADC/AADE (International Association of Drilling Contractors/American Association of Drilling Engineers) student chapter. This time on MPD (managed pressured drilling). I am the faculty adviser of our department in drilling. We do this once a month in the evenings. We flat tore this up. After a hour presentation, he engaged with the students for another two hours.

None stop, keep after those kids. Provide the best for them - they are our future. Thought I'd share.

Ann doing tator tots and zucchini in her new "air fryer". Where the propaganda folks get the "fryer" portion of it, haven't a clue.

We'll see how that goes with my BBQ this evening (BBQ not done in the "fryer").

Excellent evening in South Louisiana with such a beautiful moon:

The fireflies are very active out here in the woods. Really enjoy watching them. Tried and tried to take a picture of their display. They normally don't do that until the trees bud, not sure what's happening. The woods are lit up now.

An update: The tator tots and zucchini in the "air fryer" taste the same as they would coming out of a convection oven. I figured as such - same principle. Don't waste your money if you have a convection oven.
