Thankfully my brother, who lives near the Sabine river on the Tx/La state line is doing okay. How about a check in from Shadow. Randy, I sure hope you get your whipped cream soon. Irony is maybe then you will be okay with fishing talk on a fishing sight.
I'm good Danny. Thanks for the concern. I am on a high ridge at my house, didn't flood for Rita or Ike, the problem I would have is getting too and from my house. Stayed home this morning but after being bored with that, decided to try to make it in to work, well got here so now the challenge will be getting home. I am keeping everyone in the storm's path in my prayers.

If I wasn't absolutely required to be at work this week, I would have already been down there helping. I have many good friends stuck down there. All are safe so far, but I know countless are not. It breaks my heart to see good folks in need of immediate help and I can't jump in. I know all too much about losing everything you have in a flooded and having to evacuate in the middle of the night by boat in a raging thunderstorm with endless rain. Really sickens me. My prayer support continues.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.

No cowboy navy, but the Cajun navy is on scene in Houston. Thanks a whole bunch to those helping neighbors.

Tracker, packing to head to Houston, got any idea what to take? Have family in Magnolia, who are high & dry, might be safe, if they would sit still & quit running around....

Yep, the hummingbirds are out big time. Love watching them. Ann say's she will make some more nectar for them tomorrow here.

The Carencro Bears game against Sulphur (Lake Charles) here tonight has been canceled. Those boys were to travel over here to play in the Cro-dome, was looking forward to it. Oh well. The Bears rated preseason as number six in the state - class 4A.

Those boys have been taking their vitamins for sure.

What we enjoy about the Carencro football games under the Friday night lights is the hamburgers they make. They have fellas grilling hamburgers there, then they put the hamburgers in some crock pots filled full of Jack Miller's BBQ sauce (some of you fells know the stuff), soaked in, good stuff.

I used to take the aerosol can horns (the kind you pack in boats) to the games. I loved tooting that horn - Ann doesn't allow that anymore. She say's it's annoying.
