Memphis TN VA has 8 of the major brands.....the audioligist based on my hearing test and talking to me chose the Starkey brand behind the ear hearing aids and also a Surflink Mobile 2 remote which i have bluetoothed to my phone. Total cost at a local dealer would be $7200. The ones. I tried out last year local dealer were Resounds 5 k cost and got to tell you.....these work better and the VA fit me better. Too. I did get 4800 of my money back on those by the way.....one of them quit working in 3 days and the other one malfunctioned on the 11th day....the dealer said they would fix them. But i asked for my money back.....they kept coming out of my ears anyway.

Went to my six month checkup a couple of weeks ago. My doctor wants to see me every six months since my heart attack 20 years ago due to the oil and gas drilling business I'm in, and the stress involved. Done with that, teaching now once again. For the hearing check, a nurse took me to a small room with a special machine and ear microphones (one red and one blue). After a while, she says "do you hear anything?". Told her yes, she says I supposed to say something after each tone. Oh well, we had to start over.

Ann asked me afterword if my hearing is alright because she says I don't listen to her on occasion - just fine. Then went into a hallway for an eye exam. The nurse was confused with the results. I had cataract surgery done on both eyes about ten or so years ago. Being blue eyed in the West Texas sun pays it's toll. They call it monocular vision what he did - one eye sees extremely close, while the other eye sees far away.

Prostate exam next - told him the female doctor in the office will only do that, so here she comes.

Had a Hemorrhoidectomy a few years ago by a pretty young lady doctor. She brought in all her nurses to check em out before the surgery. I was in such agony I didn't care!
