    Those dang Archaeologist got it all wrong. That's one of PPG's Pirogues.:big grin

    Archaeologists today were removing an ancient Indian dugout canoe from the bank of the Red River near Belcher in Caddo Parish. It was nearly 34 feet long and is estimated to be 800 to 1000 years old. It will be sent to Texas A&M for restoration. I sure would like to see it![/QUOTE]

    Here is a link with more info on the canoe. Carbon dating puts its origin between 1300 and 1370 AD.
