    Default Crabs again

Yesterday my daughters house keepers told me where her daughter had gone and caught some awesome crabs. When I told Linda she said let's go. So off we went, this was a land job, fishing from a bulkhead. We didn't catch but 18 but the size of each made up for numbers. I measured one just for the fun of it and it measured almost 16 inches from claw to claw outstretched. They were all packed with meat and delish. I ate 5 claws and 1 crab and I was full. It was determined by us that it was a worthwhile trip.

Nice PawPaw. I remember as a teenager we would catch some with 24 to 26 spans in Flat Lake.My dad sold them for a dollar a dozen when I was 10 to12 or so. Always put in an extra. Then the high water of 73......

"D", I remember those crabs, I think it only took 6 to make a dozen. These I caught brought back memories of those crabs which were always fat and full and all males as I remember.

"D" if you're talking about the eggs in the female crabs, that happens to be my favorite part along with the claws.

Very nice pawpaw! I brought mom and dad on the Saturday before mothers day. We only caught 36 but they were all nice size and packed full of meat.
