I had never heard of this stuff till I saw it on here. You have my curiosity up now.
Finished the first batch, satsuma and blackberry yours truly picked by hand. Fermented nicely I must say. Sweet bite for sure:
The large bottles are for tasting. Once again I shrunk wrapped the lids on the small bottles to impress folks. As you fellas know, these will be coming to the Toledo Bend gathering once again. All to enjoy and take a bottle home. Second batch still fermenting, I look for the color when I decide to mix and bottle up - a few weeks for sure. Will attempt to make some grapefruit jelly tomorrow, the rinds will ferment shortly thereafter. We'll see if that works out.

Laid out the spent black berries from one of the mixes. Sprinkled sugar on them for a snack:
Those will bite back for sure. We utilize everything, nothing goes to waste. Learned that many years ago being a poor kid. Come to think of it, us folks didn't know the difference in those days.
At the same time, peeled some nice shrimp. Nice indeed at $5.00 a pound:
Worked very well with a light batter this evening. I like the batter light in order to maintain my girlish figure. When I want cornmeal, I put it to it in the breads.
Works nicely.
