    Default Oil Patch Statistic

On August 31st I will become a victim of the sluggish oil patch economy. I am not sure how I will handle waking up on September the 1st without a job after having worked steady since I was 16 years old. (45 years of which 35 were with this company). The last statement is not all true. I know exactly how I will handle waking up on September 1st without a job. I will go fishing and while I am on the water, in the still of the moment, I will pray and with the guidance of God I will plan the rest of my life. Boy, I sure hope Donna listens to God when he tells me he wants me to fish more.
Life is Good. Thanks be to God!

Buy some of that cheap gas and oil for your boat and go fishing. You've done enough.

If they screw it up after you leave it's not your fault.

Deacon, I will join you in your prayers. May the Lord bless you, strengthen your faith, and encourage you along the path called "the rest of your life."

Hang in there Chris, you are one of the 100,000 folks in Louisiana as another statistic. Makes one want to choke a business owner that states "I wish the price of gas was 50 cents".

Deacon, I believe you will find that you love the new opportunity to do other things. It will seem strange at first, but you'll get over that pretty quickly. We'll be praying for you. Looking forward to seeing you at D'Arbonne.

Bet you survive in spite of all the fish you can catch now. Retirement is full of gusto, you just have to learn to enjoy the blessing of each day your granted.
