Default how to make a rainy day a good day

In the all day rain of last week I started cooking and a half hour later I still didn't know what I was making. It sure turned out to be a great day though.

Cappy you don't only have a way with words but also with food. Thanks for sharing, and I might try that one day.

Sounds good to me! I may have to try your version of pork and beans, heck I got some pork in the freezer and like you said, no self respecting Cajun would be caught without dry beans in the pantry!

We'll finish up the crawfish enchiladas this evening that Ann made last weekend. A friend of ours gave us a fresh baked French bread. Ann says she will make French toast for dessert - nutmeg, cinnamon, beaten eggs, and fried in butter in the skillet. Top that off with some real maple syrup from a friend I traded jellies with in Vermont who does his own. The real thing, not the crap you would buy at Walmart

home made sloppy joes, steamed broccoli from the garden and a salad for supper a lil sore from all the bending squatting stooping and stretching of plum picking and tearing the dish washer apart for a quick fix. The food grinder gizmo was goofed so we took it out. We are just gonna hafta pre wrence till we get another one its just a 15$ part and we ahve tore the thing apart several times so we getting pretty good at it. Just more sitting lying and trying to get back up. was tiring again. Am now plum tuckered and heading for the couch with a big glass of wine. plum wine of course
