    Default Natural Gas

Heard a commercial this evening on the radio on the way home from work. A natural gas distribution company.

The female voice started by saying: "Cooking with natural gas just tastes better. Warm natural gas heat in your home feels better. The baths and showers last longer and recover faster. Your clothes feel better after drying. Natural gas is All American."

That was very good, and hit home to many of us. Thought I'd share.

Have a friend that had an old truck that ran off natural gas one time. Said the only thing he didn't like was that big tank sitting behind the cab. And that was before the
crew cab was invented. Wouldn't matter to me except too many eyes on the hand held devices detracting the drivers now days. Rear end collisions are terrible now.

It's gaining some traction. I believe it will really take off once these LNG projects are online.

Not having done any research, this would be one of my concerns. I really don't like the idea of a 4,000+ psi tank rupturing anywhere near me due to a collision. As far as a fire, I would be less concerned than a gasoline vehicle.

There has been talk of converting 18 wheelers to LNG. Burns cleaner and better economy.

I have 2, 2014 F150's on CNG. Besides occupying bed space there isn't a down side. Paying 0.99 a gas gallon equivalent. Tank are wrapped w carbon fiber 1" thick. Can be shot with a 50bmg without rupturing! I haven't tried it (50cal)!! LOL

Very good Redge - I'm impressed. Very impressed actually. Thank you. Saw this in the paper today:

Reading the paper is a good thing. I figured 200,000 would take the dive several months ago. Didn't think it was going to be this bad.

Tracker I have been reading your posts, you definitely knew way ahead of most people! I need to put in a CNG fill station at work. I run 2 driers at work 500,000 BTUS each. Then I could be paying $0.38 GGE for my CNG, and that includes the equip and electricity also.
