The LSU Ag Center sent out a notice yesterday asking for help moving the livestock out of the area. I'm glad they're helping out this time.
There's talk about them opening up the Morganza spillway as they did in 2011. A decision has not been made - yet. Please folks, this time around, tend to your livestock for those of you in the area. Now. Just in case, doesn't hurt.

All the animal shelters here in town are prepared to accept those that are being displaced. Small animals. Very good for them I say. When the Morganza spillway opens up, probably 200+ heads of cattle will drown. The selfish, irresponsible folks involved don't care - I do. Oh well, just me I guess.
