    Default Dental implant failure

The dental implant I had installed a while ago failed. What they do is implant an anchor and the let it heal so the bone can adhere. Then follow-up by placing the crown on it a couple of months later. Interesting how it all works. Thought all was good, until I felt it loose in the very far back of my mouth. Began to hurt bad last weekend when I chewed on that side. Last night I'd have enough. Pulled out the needle-nosed pliers and jerked it out:

Sorry about the picture, only have engineering pads. Went to the oral surgeon this morning and said this is no good at all. Pulled it out of my pocket and gave it to him. He thought I'm a pretty tough guy. It's all under warranty.

Interesting you say that. I designed my house on pads like those. Applied for the building permit, electrical permit, and plumbing permit. They didn't know what to think of me when I showed up. Done deal. Zero mortgage here.

I married an artist as well. Actually had her own business going for a while full time in pottery, then when back to work. Excellent scientist as well, BS degree at Kentucky, then a masters at Virginia Tech. Very good musician with a grand piano in the living room (too large for me), numerous fiddles, etc.

    She's pretty too!

Well that makes her part Hokie Tell her I've fished the duck pond on campus. Caught a few small bass on a beetle spin.

I spent a week at https://bsa-brmc.org/reservation for years every summer. They had a fish camp https://bsa-brmc.org/fishcamp that I got to participate in. Got the badge to prove it.

Love that area of our country.

Randy, my wife had an implant done and I am not showing her this post. She would have nightmares forever. It was a long drawn out process for her and cost about $5K and she said she was never doing that again.
If hers came out, I would not want to be in the same room with her dentist when she came in.
