    Here is kinda a back yard wild life up date post as I learn to play with my new video camera.

    Cappy, I think that might be a ring necked dove. They love to next on porches and entrance ways.

    Thanks Gene I'll try to get abetter shot later. They seem content just had a thunderboomer and the one on the nest didnt flinch.

    Those appear to be Mourning Doves so named because of the plantive coo of the male when trying to attract a mate. (Not to mention all the 'mouring during a dove shoot.)
    My BIL had a nice Fox double barrell he use to shoot doves with until he got several pair nesting around his house and hanging around his bird feeders. He quit hunting them, said he was afraid he might shoot one of his "pets".
    We have a pair in our back yard every afternoon. Pretty neat bird.

    It's coming a real turd floater right now and the dove is sitting there seemingly unconcerned.
