Dadgummit.......if we lived closer I would do it for ya. I have a wire welder ( MIG), and a stick welder, steel cutting band saw, 14 inch steel cutting chop saw, and a torch set out in my shop.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

LOL, was going to say the same thing G. I also have an aluminum spool gun...although I would love to have a TIG machine. None of it is mine, but the shop I work at, but have free access to it. We are surrounded by farms and family which without saying visit alot!! lol.

This is what I would done. Some sort of socket on the boat trailer steps so I can insert a handle of some sort (removable handle):

Really don't want to haul the boat somewhere to leave a couple of days. There's folks around that have their unit on their trucks. Second project is a better shelf for my smoker. Saw somewhere on the main forum where a fella had a nice one in front of his (did make a comment on it). This shelf is removable. Want one that will hold a fat brisket in a pan.

Yes, but want to be able to remove it - thus the socket. Thanks.

Thats no big deal.......if you use square tubing instead of found then it will not turn on you. Bend the square tubing the shape you want....use a piece a size bigger for the socket.....cap bottom of socket so it will not slide through and you got it. It could even be made to bolt on instead of welded. I have a tubing bender that I bought at Harbor Freight that will bend round or square.

Tracker 123. I have a mig at home. Would be more than glad to weld the bar you are wanting. Really don't have time to build a pit. There is a few guys I know that would. Send me a pm and I can get you some name and numbers
