    Default Where to camp?

My wife & I want to come down there next winter. We want to camp where it's good fishing. We plan to stay the winter. If anyone could head us in the right direction, we'd be grateful. We like to fish Crappie & Bluegills (Bream) Thanks, Crappie 1

I would follow the fish and not commit to one camp ground or body of water. I would follow this forum and fish all the lakes, bayous and swamps. That would be living the dream!

Larry, you just going to bypass us and go down there? Can't say I blame you the past two winters being like they have here.

I sure don't blame you for that at all. You find a nice place I may just have to load up and come visit. How is Sandy and the Grand Baby?

I agree it's best to follow the fish however Lake D'Arbonne is a good place to start. Winter fishing here is normally great. It has a good state park and a couple of other RV parks. It's also a short drive to some other good lakes such as Caney, Claiborne and Poverty Point to mention a few. It's also a short drive to West Monroe or Ruston where you can find almost anything you need.
