Ann and Ernie ready for Marti Gras. I think it's cute:

Ernie thinks he is something else. His official name is Y-Farms Honest Ernesto, AKC, CGC. Don't mention that to him, otherwise he will get the big head.

Decided to fire up the smoker today. The pecan works nicely, the real thing:

Acquired some 12-14 count shrimp caught off the boat Friday. Fresh, not frozen, cheap. Wrapped in bacon and smoked for a few hours. Works nicely:

Nice Randy. And you did good to get those shrimp fresh not frozen. I hate those IQF (Instant Quick Freeze) shrimp, they are always tough!

You're right Dwayne, those quick frozen shrimp seem chewy to me. They do work in a pinch though if nothing else is available. Coated those with a teriyaki sauce and smoked real low for roughly two hours. They will be excellent as left overs the next couple of nights.

The wall behind Ann and Ernie is a stucco wall I just completed. Laid up the cement board (Hardiebacker), spread the stucco, primed it, then painted. Seeing the picture reminds me of the adobe house I grew up in.

Ann tried to get Abby in the picture too, but Ernie kept hogging the bed for the photo op.
