    You could use a different pot, but it taste better cooked in the old black iron pot. We put a glass top stove in our kitchen, not thinking I could not use my cast iron pots. Sure wish I had put a gas burner stove in now. I may get one of those single burner electric eyes so I can use my old pots. I have one frying pan that my mother gave me when I got my first apartment in 1965. Best cooking pan I have and I can't use it.
    The potato stew sounds good, I am going to try a batch.

    It's very good Ray, worked for me. Send me that old black iron pot, I'll pay shipping. Only cook with gas here.
