Dwayne, when my Mom passed away a few years back I ended up with these. She and Dad used to put shrimp and oysters up in them. When we cleaned out the house no one wanted these and the were headed for the garbage. Needless to say it didn't take me long to latch on to them before anyone else changed their minds. We use them the first year we had them but found out that we didn't have enough. I looked on line and found some just like them although they are not tupperware. I got them from here.

    not really a problem

    I hope this helps.

    Gene,
I make a similar stew, not quite as healthy. Bacon is rendered and reserved, onions get slighlty browned in bacon fat, cubed potatoes and a few diced carrots and some diced celery. Cover with water and simmer stirring occasionally until all are done. Add cream usually 2-3 cups (but My batch is a lot bigger than yours 6 pounds of taters)to desired consistancy. Eat as is... Rice might be good, never tried it that way.

Sound more like that potato soup Bruce was thinking about. It does sound good as does potato soup.

Can't wait to make some of this! Gonna use those fine Conegah sausage I read about in the Mississippi forum.
    They're awesome!

George I started to pick up some of that sausage but changed my mind at the last minute. It's a dollar a pound more than my regular stuff but I will try it next time.

I cannot wait to try this. It looks like it would be a good dish to cook at the camp when I have some of the gang up there fishing. I really like the hot and spicy variety of Conecuh brand sausage. RMGeorge the Brookshires stores carry it now so you should be able to find it locally. Thanks PPG for posting this.

Charliee, your more than welcome. Next time I will use Connecuh sausage just to give it a try. I had a pack in my hands and put it back down. Not knowing what the outcome would be, I decided to go with what I knew.

While I wouldn't bet a dollar that it is good as Randy's home made, I like that Connecuh. And I still want some of that stew!! Love ya too PaPa.
