That looks perfect!
Big John hooked me up with a couple of rabbits he was getting rid of....cooked one tonight with some deer sausage I had in the freezer. YUMMY!
Seasoned it with some Slap Ya Mama
Browned it with some onions/peppers and rotel (though I didn't brown it quite enough because I was in a hurry)
Once I had cooked it for a while...
It was falling off the bone!
Threw it over some rice and had my meal!! Gonna have lunch for tomorrow at work too!
Thanks John!
LFN, I am ordinarily not a jealous person. You just made me into one. Wish I could have helped you eat that. My favorite meal as a kid, with white beans on the side.

The sausage was a little spicy to me, so I didn't eat as much of it, but there were only 3 pieces of rabbit left....I hadn't realized I'd eaten so much of it, but it sure was good! I have one more in the freezer that's bigger than this one, but I've got to get some of my preferred sausage first. Won't be long.
Wife was laughing at me for stopping and taking pictures every so often....but she knew what I was going to do with them! LOL
You made me lick my lips.

There are two things to aim for in life: First, to get what you want; and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieves the second. Author unknown, but I like it!
Never thought about the sausage. Just the rabbit in a good gravy, lots of onions!! Side note: Don't know what kind of sausage you use, but our Mississippi friends have got me liking that " conekuh" . Picked up a pack already to make turkey/sausage gumbo Saturday.

Is that a brand? Haven't heard of it before. This was some deer sausage someone gave me. The one I normally cook with is smoked pork from a small place in Reddell, LA. I buy in bulk and bring it home. Adds a good taste to any gravy. We usually cook squirrel this way, but I've done chicken and sausage as well. Onions are a must have! Lol
Thanks for all the nice comments guys.
