Neg to neg and pos to pos appears be a parallel circuit you have. Doubling the capacity (amp hours) of the batteries while maintaining voltage. It will charge up both batteries because you're supplying a constant charge of 12+ volts (13.8 volts I believe). Connecting the batteries in series won't because you double the voltage. Hope this helps.

Yes it will but keep in mind it will take twice as long as charging one battery

I just found it on line if I hook one charger to pos on one battery and neg on other battery it charges both batteries but it takes longer or I can hook up pos and neg on each battery with 2 chargers to charge them both

Get a three bank onboard charger and charge both trolling batterys and cranking battery at the same time. I have a MinnKota 330D......works great 10 amps per bank. Its digital and its automatic. I come in from fishing plug it in and dont unplug untill I go fishing again.

I bought a 2 bank 20 amp for the trolling motor batteries giving me 10 amps for each and a 6 hr recovery I didn't want anything less the time more than doubles. I have them in the front of boat under deck and the 2 bank will fit between the batteries. Man they don't give those chargers away I was glad I had some points to use.
