Hmm, better check on that...
My wife got pulled over last night in Woodworth, LA for speeding. Although I hate to pay the ticket, she was indeed speeding. I have no problem with the ticket, plus it teaches my wife that when the speed limit changes you may want to apply the brake especially if you were going 5 over the previous speed limit.
However, I think he could have given me a break on the proof of insurance. I had every card from the day I purchased the vehicle, but printed the wrong card last time I paid the insurance. I know I printed the wrong card, because I had 2 cards that expired 3-26-13. Anyway, I faxed them the current card this morning and called to see if I could have the no proof of insurance dropped. Not a chance, they did reduce it but a $125 mistake on my part. It really seems you would have a grace period of 24 hours or something.

I've got my new one on my desk right now. Came in the mail yesterday, but the old one is good thru the 24th.
Thanks for the reminder,

Great point! I print mine too, and don't think about it as often as I should. Think I'll run a copy off now for both vehicles. Thanks for the reminder!
I have 2 cards one for wallet and one for vehicle

Forgot to mention, they said I could fight it in court and possibly have it dropped. That wasn't an option to me, since I would use $75 in gas and probably be hit with a court fee.

Ahh, Louisiana the land of fishing and the only state known world wide for the graft. I know it was a mistake as you mention. I got stopped in Many for speeding in someone else's car and they were in the car. The trooper didn't give me a ticket for the speeding he did mention it thoughtbut gave me one for an expired inspection Cert. Said it would most likely be cheaper. The lady thought the sticker was still good. But it turned out the ticket was $202.50. Anywhere else in the world you would probably either get a warning or the ticket would be less than $50.00. It is all designed to seperate you from your money.
