    Default Smoked brisket

I know ya'll don't do this much down here. Thought I'd share though. To me, it's summer time, so smoked brisket will occur regular.

The smoker started up bright and early:

Long and slow after 8 hours:

A small slice to make sure it's tender before I finish it up:

As per West Texas style, BBQ beans, tater salad, and coconut cream pie to follow .

Slow and low is the way to go. Just got through eating some ribs after they hung out on the grill for 5 hours. Mmm mmm good.

Yum! That looks awesome and I love some brisket. The only thing better is the stuffed bell peppers my bride had for me when I got back from fishing today! She's a keeper for sure. (See my post titled Father's Day).

You've got a nice looking setup there, and the brisket looks excellent, I almost licked my phone ))

Looked good! I cooked some backstrap on the pit and it was pretty good if I say so myself.
