    Default Cell Phone Rip Off

Bought a iPhone 4s last yr and went in to update my wife and daughters phone and found out that ATT is updating their system to I think he said 7OGS are something like that but any way unless you have a 5g phone you will slowley loose service because there will be no more updates sent to 3g and 4g iPhones so you have to pay $200 for a 5g plus $36 for the set up of the new phone that puts me at $472 plus tax to upgrade phones bull%^t. I'm stuck for another 18months with my plan are get charged a find if I switch providers, this is the best case of legalized stealing I've ever seen.

You're right, my monthly cell phone bill for Ann and I is more than my electric bill from SLEMCO.

I feel you. I am waiting till the contract is up then switching to Verizon. When that is up ill switch back and so on. With these companies you can keep your number most times.

Sir, I want my beeper back !!!!!!..... There are no Phone booths in town, none down at the lake. if you called me it was a wrong number!!!!! If someone tries to reach a family member at a pay phone Cell Phones are Blocked from returning that call because of drug dealers. I found this out when my wife was calling me from a Hospital

It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings.

AT&T has no control over the updates to iPhones. There are still first generation iphones in use today. Someone fed you a huge line of BS, you will never lose "service" no matter how old. The first generation iphone operates on the "Edge" network, the newer ones operate on Edge and 3G. AT&T is slowing rolling out "4G" LTE service but it is no where near deployed widely enough to take over 3g.

For the foreseeable future, you will lose or break any iphone before the network it is using is obsolete.

And then you have the people getting free (well it aint free, we pay for them) cell phones through the government plan. This plan was set up to give low income families free HOME (LAND) LINES, NOT cell phones. David Vitter is fighting to get this back to just land lines and get rid of the fraud.
