    Default Spec Fishing

I had the chance to go fishing Friday morning with my son-in-law and another family friend. We went to Cypermort Point to do some spec fishing. I had not caught a spec in years. We found them in the Little Lake area of Weeks Bay. We caught some nice size trout, several flounders and a couple of legal size drum. I hooked on to something that took line and never looked back.
Caught the fish using Deadly Dudleys, chartreuse with red tail with red jig head all worked real slow over the bottom. The bait seemed to work better if we put about a 1/2" pinch of fresh shrimp on the hook with the plastic. The wind was stiff out the East but that did not stop the action. Other people around us were catching the specs with white plastics under a cork.
Now is the time so take advantage of it.
I can't leave now; They fixen to turn on.

Sounds like a good trip Chris! Wish gas weren't so expensive so I could plan some trips south for that saltwater action!!
See ya in a few weeks!

Them Dudleys are great baits. Congrats on the catch. Hard to not catch fish right now.

We went recently and did decent in the Rigolets with the majority of em coming of speculizer rig with DOA's, some on live also.

No flounder though and that's what I was really hoping for. Did get a couple bull reds to fight with

It's always fun to fish a different kind of scenery and situation, just to be there. This past year I fished and camped in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Thanks for the post and the pictures!
