Here are some pictures. Some are before i re did the pole carrier some after i added trolling motor and finders. anything you want to know about just PM me and i will try to help you with setting it up. mine is a wareagle and has the attachment rail on both sides, i have several addapters that i have used to add Scotty type rodholders and i used pipe attached to a couple and added rod holders to them for spiderriging or pulling cranks from the back. have a aluminum channel attached to 2 of the sliders in rear with 7 driftmasters for pulling cranks and have made it adjustable where you can tilt to get tips closer to water for longline jigs or can spiderrig from it also. Have umbrella holders on back of seats and just added holders on left and right side just behind seat for a sunbrella made from 3/4 gray PVC with metal clamps.

Depends a lot on what kind of boat you have and if you fish 1 or 2 on the front or what kind of fishing you do. My first sugestion if on the front is to mount holder to a piece of board that you can move around on the front deck, sit in seat and move around until you find the spot that is most comfortable to you. they need to be about knee high and close enough that you can reach your poles and lift with out having to bend over or reach to far. that gets real uncomfortable after a while. you cant tell in the pictures but i have a set on each side and they are cut down to 9 in high and that puts them just above my knees when setting in the seat but i can just reach out and pick up a pole with out moving at all. if you have the driftmasters or something similar you can lift rod but still have to kind of move it forward to get out of holder so the closer to you the better. also make sure you have clerance for trolling motor when retreving it or you could have to dismount holder everytime you put out or retreive motor. in some cases that might be your only option though. any other questions just shoot me a PM.

Thanks. I might mount mine on a board and anchor it with the pedestal? This is the type I have. Haven't mounted it yet.

I wouldn't do that because it will have aa tendency to rock or vibrate your holders and poles every time you move but it will work. Those are the best holders made in my opinion. You gonna love em.

I see what you are saying. I'll think of something. I work in a machine shop so I'll come up with an over engineered contraption.

Look up cumberlin crappie i think, they make some rigs for rod holders that mount like that out of aluminum for use on Bass Boats maybe give you some ideas.
