Again, everyone has some valid points...but for those of us who actually live along the coast it is still unacceptable..this is not the first disaster caused by poor regulations..example they placed a toxic oil waste dump next to a neighborhood on the bourg-larose hwy..it wasn't until all the residents were getting ill did they do anything about it..and even with hard data ,the gov..was still reluctant to close it..marine shale in Morgan city was another example..took years to close even though they new it was causing these rare cancers...its all about cutting corners and all the while the big oil guys are making billions in profits..im not against companies making profits, but public safety should come first..fyi..they never asked Louisianan's if it was ok to drill off our coast..its been here since i was born..i say let Florida or California take a turn..
