Another thing that I should have pointed out, is that I am looking for a boat with an engine no more than 3-4 years old.
I have been checking there and craigslist.org. The problem I find with them (free) websites is that people will ask a lot for their items for sale because if they don't get any bites, they will just relist it for a slightly lower price. This makes it hard for me to catch a deal when they finally come down to what it is worth, because I work off and can't make it to inspect the item before someone else jumps on it. Plus, most of louisianasportsman.com stuff is South Louisiana and travelling to inspect something becomes expensive. Stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I have been checking the American Classifieds and local papers also.

I was in West Monroe yesterday and went to go look at the F&F boat, but it wasn't there. I did manage to buy my first selection of jigs from The Honey Hole. They will receive all of my business, as they are very friendly and infomative. I also liked the fact that they addressed most of the customers by name as they walked in.

I feel your frustration with all the tracker boats and the prices people ask for them. I don't know if they have put what I put into mine but let me say this in return.
I paid little over 12k for my tracker about 3 years ago and I could sell it right now for 10k easily. You'd think it would drop more in price but honestly with all the additions and mods I had to do it actually made the boat more desirable.
Extra gas tank, plus upgraded the initial tank to a bigger one, bow and aft anchor systems, bigger trolling motor($600), 2 extra batteries, solar chargers, extra lights for night fishing, trailer lock, more rod tie downs, crappie rod holders, fish finder, Gps navigation, upgraded seats, etc.
Not to mention that some motors are coming with 4+ year warranties which also help in a resell. With my motor still under warranty it makes a new buyer feel much safer knowing if anything is wrong the factory will fix it. Sure you could go buy a new boat for a couple thousand more but take a look at any mods or extras they might have placed on the boat. Sometimes those in itself could be worth hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
Also I have never paid sticker for anything so don't let that asking price fool you. Get your cash in hand or your financing straight and then call em up and make them an offer. Play hardball and tell them your ready to buy right now and your offers only good for 24 hours. They might balk at first but be sure to leave your number because after they hang up or walk away the thought of a quick sell will begin eating at them. I've had many salesmen turn my offer down only to call me the next morning with a changed mind.
Good points Team M&M, also, time of year is a factor you can use in your favor.Buying a boat(new/used),people are more willing to negotiate during the off season(fall/winter).

I have come across some that would be worth it in my opinion. But, for the most part, I have come across basic boats with little to no upgrades for them prices. Also boats that have been in the water "less than 10 times" that are beat up. I couldn't agree more, if there are extras in the boat, it would be well worth it.
