    Default First time on Norman

Well I finally got the boat on Norman today I haven't had the boat out in about a year with relocating and finding a job and all. I didn't even know if the boat would start.

I can say it is a little intimidating it's a little big, I'm used to fishing small impoundments. I put in at Blythe and I spent most of my time just riding looking for structure. I tried some trolling haven't got the hang of it yet I seem to end up with a tangled mess.

I saw some balls of bait fish but nothing under or above also marked some fish
at 50 ft on the bottom. The wind did pick up as the day went on didn't stick around for the white caps. Looked around some boat docks the water was down around most.

I plan to try Little Creek landing next time.

glad u at least made it out

to me completely honest with you, that end of the lake has very little structure what so ever! fish the docks around the area. ramsey creek is more or less a big bowl of deep water. out there by the islands is a old submerged road bed.....a good lake map will point out exactly where the road bed is.

if your looking for crappie, littles creek and above will do better for you!

Thanks for the reply Pete, what you described about the southern end and Ramsey I found to be true a bit flat not much structure. I don't think I marked but a few fish in Ramsey.

I do have a topo map and have been studying and driving around checking out the ramps I did like what I saw at the upper end.

    Thanks again

Get up in the back of Beavers Dam Creek. Left at the split and look around the piers for some good structure. Usually catch some good ones up there when the weather starts to change. Hopefully it won't be long now. Good Luck and welcome to Norman.
