Where can you buy bait on the lower end of Norman?

Looking for live bait such as really big shiners or shad. Anyone tried using live white perch for bait?

You need to be out there at dark and fish til 12-1 this weekend. Throw the net and get some bluebacks or Alewifes. Lights too, not Hydro-Glow, but some big 400 watters!!

You will see the parking lot at the dam.

I heard there was a major shiner shortage this year....Suppliers can't meet the demands...........Not familiar with the bait stores on lower end of Norman but if you ever fish the upper Norman I could point you to a few side stores that have shiners and nice crappie minnows.............

Squid Row, there is a baitshop about 2 miles past Mcguire Nuclear Station that sells big shiners. You can put in at Blythe Landing and make a short run to the dam. I'm thinking about going sometime soon. I'll let you know.

the place jeremy is talking about is called Beaches Grocery.....ive had bad experiences with their minnows. if you go up 16 towards Betties Ford, you have 2 more shots at bait. a Citgo on the Right about 2 miles past the 16/73 interchange, and then about another few miles further right at the turnoff to the ramp there at BF is another Beaches. i had to run all the way there a few weeks ago just to get 1 doz. i was shocked to see the minnows sell for $8 a doz!! thats why i got 1 doz :D. if those 3 shops dont have bait, and the one off 273 dont have bait, you got a LONG haul to the next baitshop in Terell.
