Where can you buy bait on the lower end of Norman?
Looking for live bait such as really big shiners or shad. Anyone tried using live white perch for bait?

Squid,I know its a long way but theres a guy who just started selling shad and herring in Clover.(803)242-2403 bethany catfish lake is the name of his operation,,a pay lake for catfish. He's got a nice covered cement block bait tank,$8.00 dozen for herring.I cant help out on anything closer.I havent heard of striperfishermen using the white perch but a lot of catfishermen use them...
HEY,,WATCH THAT YELLOW ROD
You need to be out there at dark and fish til 12-1 this weekend. Throw the net and get some bluebacks or Alewifes. Lights too, not Hydro-Glow, but some big 400 watters!!
You will see the parking lot at the dam.
I heard there was a major shiner shortage this year....Suppliers can't meet the demands...........Not familiar with the bait stores on lower end of Norman but if you ever fish the upper Norman I could point you to a few side stores that have shiners and nice crappie minnows.............
hey this is robert live on norman the fishing been good after dark with bb or shiners need to have a lite friday nite was fair there was a couple of boats with sodium lites that makes it tough on the green lite there not many places on the lower end of the lake for bait if you come up 16 there is a sote by hwy 273 i think has bait i sell from nov till spring have shad and trout tight lines
the place jeremy is talking about is called Beaches Grocery.....ive had bad experiences with their minnows. if you go up 16 towards Betties Ford, you have 2 more shots at bait. a Citgo on the Right about 2 miles past the 16/73 interchange, and then about another few miles further right at the turnoff to the ramp there at BF is another Beaches. i had to run all the way there a few weeks ago just to get 1 doz. i was shocked to see the minnows sell for $8 a doz!! thats why i got 1 doz :D. if those 3 shops dont have bait, and the one off 273 dont have bait, you got a LONG haul to the next baitshop in Terell.
