Anyone have a report on Jordan?

The Bigeyecrappieman tournament will be on Jordan next weekend. Teams have the choice to fish Jordan or Harris, but the weigh-in will be at Farrington. Fishing has been good on Jordan despite a lot of high water and wind the last month.

Went bass fishing yesterday, out of poes ramp. 10:00 am, water light chocolate milk, 58-60°, went up haw side to Robeson Creek, there was about 10 boats, most long lining crappie fishing.
Didn't see a fish caught, asked 1 boat, if they were catching. Said not a fish. Temp there by ramp 64-66°. We really didn't see that much bait fish there. Left and went to s-curve at horseshoe islands, water a lot clearer, 62-64°, and lot's of bait fish.

Took Dad and fished Jordan a few weeks ago so not sure how much this will help you now but found quality fish up the lake staged on the channels. Naturally, they were in the teeth of the wind that was absolutely relentless, all day, no matter which direction it was coming from! There was no mistake when they bit though.... angry little critters.

I honestly cannot recall the last time I ran my trolling motor batteries to flashing red. Trying to stay on fish in whitecaps is no joke.

I think we ended with five over 2#, a few very close to 2# and then a decent amount of the smaller variety. Could have been "one of those days" if no wind.

If you want some optimism, they are all still swimming. I refuse to put a knife to pretty fish like that.

    Thanks, Gents.
I’ll try to post a recap on Sunday.

Will be just me and my Dad. Visiting old haunts.
