    Default Belews Lake report 3-29-24

Had the opportunity to go out this afternoon from about 3:30 to 7:30.

Long lining jigs again. Another windy afternoon. Water temps were cooler than last week, saw water around 57-58 degrees.

Was picking up a few small fish just north of the 158 bridge and then switched sides to the south side of the bridge and immediately started catching more.

Only ended up around 10-12 fish and unfortunately all small dinks. Biggest was probably 9-10". Really wondering if any slabs exist in this lake!!

Fish still showing schooled up in 15-20 feet of water. Will probably try again in the AM.

Better than a skunk and on the water. Sounds like an enjoyable trip to me.

I went back out this morning from about 8am to about noon. Fishing was good for numbers, not so good on size. I lost track on numbers but would guess I was getting bit about once every 5-10 minutes but seems like the fish came in only 2 sizes: 5" dinks or 8-9" fish. Nothing about 10". I don't know if I'm just catching smaller males or what. Fish were in 10-15 feet of water.
