They have been pulling lots of water and its very muddy, fished scattered again. If you did see a fish you had to put it right on their nose to get to bite. Be careful if you go up river a bunch of silt rolled in pretty much blocking potts. It is 1 foot of water going into potts. I got stuck twice on the way in and way out. Glad I got lucky and unstuck myself with the big motor since there were no other boats around. I saw some big fish in there but are super skittish and are 1 foot under the water, pretty much impossible to catch.
I spent most of the day in there checking thoroughly to see if I can find a good concentration of fish but never did so I went back down river. Mouth of Swearing saw a few fish but not many. Once you get halfway back a ton of gizzard shad making it hard to pick out the crappie. Most of the mouths of the creeks have fish but I never found a good concentration just very scattered. Caught 10 pounds or so in the last few hours just be bopping around. Highlight of the day was a 2.30 I chased around a while and felt good to finally get in front of her. I didn't check abbots or flat swamp and I didnt check midway back in the creeks. I think if the mud clears up and they stop pulling water the fishing should turn back on. Hope that helps somebody.
Congrats, awesome catch!
Thanks for the report !
